چکیده

Magnetization measurements with the magnetic field parallel to the c-axis were performed on overdoped Bi2¡ xPbxSr2CaCu2O8+ ± single crystals. Different from undoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+ ± single crystal, a pronounced anomalous peak with maximum peak field over 5000 G can be observed in enlarging temperature window from 0.2Tc to 0.9Tc; both the anomalous magnetization peak H2p and the sharp onset of the anomalous magnetization peak Hon exhibit strong temperature dependence up to the vicinity of Tc. The temperature dependence of Hon and H2p implies that observed anomalous magnetization originates from a static disorder-induced transition from a relatively ordered vortex lattice (or Bragg glass) to a vortex glass (or disordered vortex solid) at Hon and thermal disorder induced pancake vortex decoupling transition at H2p.

Magnetic-field-induced enhancement of the vortex pinning in the overdoped regime of La2−xSrxCuO4 : Relation to the microscopic phase separation

In order to investigate the inhomogeneity of the superconducting (SC) state in the overdoped high-Tc cuprates, we have measured the magnetic susceptibility, χ, of La2−xSrxCuO4 (LSCO) single crystals in the overdoped regime in magnetic fields parallel to the c-axis up to 7 T on warming after zero-field cooling. It has been found for x = 0.198 and 0.219 that the temperature dependence of χ in 1 T...

Growth, Characterization and Physical Properties of High−Quality Large Single Crystals of Bi2(Sr2−xLax)CuO6+δ High Temperature Superconductors

High quality large Bi2(Sr2−xLax)CuO6+δ (La-Bi2201) single crystals have been successfully grown by the traveling solvent floating zone technique. The samples are characterized by compositional and structural analyzes and their physical properties are investigated by magnetic susceptibility and resistivity measurements. Superconducting samples with sharp superconducting transitions are obtained ...

Development of ferromagnetism in the doped topological insulator Bi2−xMnxTe3

The development of ferromagnetism in Mn-doped Bi2Te3 is characterized through measurements on a series of single crystals with different Mn content. Scanning tunneling microscopy analysis shows that the Mn substitutes on the Bi sites, forming compounds of the type Bi2−xMnxTe3, and that the Mn substitutions are randomly distributed, not clustered. Mn doping first gives rise to local magnetic mom...

Doping evolution of the second magnetization peak and magnetic relaxation in (Ba1â‹TMxKx)Fe2As2 single crystals

We present a thorough study of doping dependent magnetic hysteresis and relaxation characteristics in single crystals of ( B a 1 − x K x ) F e 2 A s 2 ( 0.18 ≤ x ≤ 1 ). The critical current density J c reaches maximum in the underdoped sample x = 0.26 and then decreases in the optimally doped and overdoped samples. Meanwhile, the magnetic relaxation rate S rapidly increases and the flux creep a...

Hydrostatic and uniaxial pressure dependence of superconducting transition temperature of KFe2As2 single crystals

We present heat capacity, c-axis thermal expansion and pressure-dependent, low-field, temperature-dependent magnetization for pressures up to ∼12 kbar, data for KFe2As2 single crystals. Tc decreases under pressure with dTc/dP≈−0.10 K/kbar. The inferred uniaxial, c-axis, pressure derivative is positive, dTc/dpc≈0.11 K/kbar. The data are analyzed in comparison with those for overdoped Fe-based su...
